The Midsummers is a three-piece Indie Folk band with a feel-good vibe that takes you deep into your memories with nostalgic lyrics. The songs are a mix of ballads and more up-tempo, uplifting songs, all of which are highly relatable and paint a picture of what it means to be human. Fronted by Alex Milne, a songwriter who is also a Registered Nurse at a downtown Toronto hospital. Knowing how hard life can be, she founded this band to create music for others to enjoy as music has the most amazing power to connect us all and give us a place to escape into our own minds and unwind. In losing ourselves in someone else’s song we find ourselves in the shared language we all speak: love.
